I can't believe January is only two days from being over; Just like that, the first month of 2015 is gone!
At the beginning of this fast flying month I started looking for ways to spread more peace, love, and happiness.
Every post I've written or shared this month has been focused on one of these three things.
As we come to the end of January, I thought I'd share something that brings much happiness to my family......game night!
We have a ton of games. Everything from Monopoly to Wii bowling and we use them a LOT!!!

There is nothing better than gathering around the table, setting up a game board and then proceeding to try and beat the pants off each other!! Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!!
We laugh, joke, cut-up, and literally just enjoy being together.
One of our favorite games... WHOONU (we got it free at a garage sale when we bought a box of stuff. The owner said, 'here, just take this too'! So, we did.)
Who would have thought it would become one of our most treasured games.
It's a game of getting to know each other and it's never the same game twice! You may think you know your kids or your spouse but this game will let you see how much you don't know about them.
The surprises never stop and eventually the giggles kick in because it's so hard to believe they didn't pick what you thought they would!
I know, all of this sounds a bit confusing because you may not know how the game goes, but trust me it brings us together like nothing else.
But, let me tell you, nothing says happiness like gloating to your kids that they are losers, as you use your fingers to make an L on your forehead, and dance around the room singing that you are the winner!! (just kidding)
Family game night is one of the happiest times we spend together. It is something we make a point to do on a very regular basis! It is also one of the best ways I have found to teach my kids, learning to be happy doesn't take a lot of money or stuff; it simply takes TIME!
Learning happiness, starts at home. When you learn that happiness isn't attached to any amount of things, but is attached to giving of yourself and your time, you are always a winner!
I hope this is a legacy my children will pass on to their children and that when grandchildren do come along, our family game nights will grow!
