I'm so thankful you've returned and are continuing on this small journey with me.
A journey of love, discovering what it means, to love, what love looks like.
If you've been on this journey with me, then you know part 1 discovered the AGAPE love and in part 2,EROS love.
Beautiful, to say the least.
Today we will, together, discover the love philia.

· Philia (φιλία philía) means "affectionate regard, friendship," usually "between equals."[7] It is a dispassionate virtuous love, a concept developed by Aristotle.[8] In his best-known work on ethics, Nicomachean Ethics, philia is expressed variously as loyalty to friends, family, and community, and requires virtue, equality, and familiarity. Furthermore, in the same text philos denotes a general type of love, used for love between family, between friends, a desire or enjoyment of an activity, as well as between lovers. (C.S. Lewis, 1960)
Ah, philia love, the love of compassion for others.
Love of friends, family, community and those around us.
Spend the next few minutes immersing yourself in what it means to connect through compassion...philia love!
