One of the areas of our marriage Mr. Right and I have been working on is more one- on- one time. It can get pretty hairy around here
(as far as family & finances go ) and life happens - A LOT!!
About a month ago I stumbled upon The Dating Divas site and found their Date-in-a-Bag idea!
Loved it! Made it! Started taking turns filling it! Sometimes once a week, sometimes every other week! Either way, minimum date nights in a month, TWO! Go Us!!
I was just Googling around one afternoon, looking for date ideas, when I happened upon the Bookstore Scavenger Hunt on Stacey Woods' blog over at Create & Celebrate.
Oh how fun would that be? A scavenger hunt in a bookstore! I mean really!!
My Mr. Right was skeptical at first. Typical guy stuff, you know, things like;
"How long is this gonna take?"
"Do I have to walk around the whole store?"
"I don't know where everything is!"
So it goes!
Oh well, all that matters is he did go, he did do it, and he did have fun!
Thought I'd share how we did it, so maybe, like me, you can copy too!! (Hey, it's not bad to copy. It's the highest form of flattery. Well, unless you're in school and copying something you shouldn't! That's never okay!).
Okay, so basically, there are three sets of cards. You can get them HERE.
Each set has three/four items that each of you go and find. You can find them together, find a spot to sit together and share or you can go separately to find the items and then come back together to a predetermined spot to share
Do one set at a time. So, Set #1 there are three things. Find all of those, come together, share, then move on to Set #2, etc.
We opted to separate then come back together. This added
a bonus element for us, as it then became a game of who could finish their card first!
It took us about an hour a card! Sure didn't feel like it was taking a long time though! I love spending time with my guy!
We had a great time and I think we each learned something about the other!
I hope you try this! You won't be sorry!!
Happy Dating!
